About the consequences
Of the actions we take

To the ashes of the wake

The ones who choose
To hurt and maim
Are the ones who feel
The greatest shame

And instead of admitting
That they were wrong
They’ll drag you through the muck
And carry you along

Too afraid
Of admitting a mistake
Taking no responsibility
For the choices they make

Violence and war
Is not a problem to solve
Be more compassionate
And you will evolve

Into a being
Who can see another
As a beloved
Sister or brother

Instead of lashing out
In violence and hate
How can we take the keys
And open the gate

To a beautiful new view
Of what lies in store
Where we all have enough
Not wanting more

We do not know
How to satiate our desires
And this is why our world
Is getting lost in the fires

As the flame of transformation
Burns us to the ground
We learn to connect
To what lies all around

Through the senses
And through the mind
We will come to see
Where we were once blind

To serve other people
With love in your heart
Is a great place
For all of us to start

Here we will find
Our spiritual gifts
As the veil of akasha
Begins to lift

Showing us the darkness
For all to see
So that we can rise above
And set ourselves free
